Francesco Franchi
Graphic designer and journalist. Since 2008 he has been the creative director of IL, the magazine of Il Sole 24 ORE. He is a professor at IUAV University of Venice and IED in Milan, Turin, and Barcelona, and also a lecturer at Singapore Management University, Politecnico di Milano, Domus Academy, and other universities in Italy and abroad.
In 2013 he published Designing News - Changing the World of Editorial Design and Information Graphics (Gestalten). During his career, he has won many awards, including European Design Awards, D&AD Awards, and the Compasso d'Oro ADI Award.
His works have been published and exhibited in several countries, recently at the V&A Museum in London and at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York. He is a member of the Society of Publication Designers (SPD), the Society for News Design (SND), and a professional member of AIAP.
