Description

Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream is set in ancient Greece and begins with four lovers whose entangled love triangles get complicated very quickly. For example, Demetrius wants to marry Hermia but she only has eyes for Lysander, who is pursued by Helena, who is unreturned in love with Demetrius. Do you see what I mean? 

The lovers are pursued by an enraged Demetrius (who is himself pursued by an enraptured Helena). However, unbeknownst to the mortals, Oberon and Titania (King and Queen of the faeries) are having a spat over a servant boy. Do you see? The plot twists when Oberon's head mischief-maker, Puck, runs loose with a flower which causes people to fall in love with the first thing they see upon waking. This causes hilarity to ensue when one of the laborers is given donkey's ears and Titania for a lover.
