Emma Gannon is a Sunday Times bestselling non-fiction author and award-winning novelist. Her popular career manifesto, The Multi-Hyphen Method, was a business bestseller, and her debut novel OLIVE was nominated for the Dublin Literary Award in 2022. She is also a trained coach and host of the no. 1 creative careers podcast in the UK (Ctrl Alt Delete) and speaks on the themes of well-being, creativity, digital culture, and living life on your own terms.

She has published five bestselling books to date, including the Sunday Times bestseller The Multi-Hyphen Method (a manifesto for multi-hyphenates crafting work on their own terms); SABOTAGE (tips on how to silence your inner critic and get out of your own way) and (DIS)CONNECTED (how to stay human in an online world). She is currently writing her second novel and next non-fiction book, THE SUCCESS MYTH, with Transworld, an imprint of Penguin.

In July 2020, her debut novel OLIVE was published by Harper Collins in the UK and Andrews McMeel in the US. The audiobook is narrated by Fleabag’s BAFTA-winning actor Sian Clifford, hit no.1 in the Apple audiobook charts, and was nominated for the Dublin Literary Award 2022. 

Emma was one of the first in the UK to recognize the power of podcasting. Her WEBBY-nominated top 10 business-charting podcast Ctrl, Alt, Delete is a non-traditional careers podcast founded in 2016 and has had over 12 million downloads to date, with guests including Elizabeth Gilbert, Ava DuVernay and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas. She has recorded many live episodes and even recorded a podcast from inside Buckingham Palace. 

She also writes the popular weekly newsletter on Substack called The Hyphen, which explores ideas that have got her thinking in new ways, including a thriving community of readers and a book club. Emma started her career in digital marketing and social media editor roles at Condé Nast and The Debrief magazine. She has been a columnist for The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, and Courier magazine on the topics of work, well-being, and creativity. In 2016, Microsoft selected her to appear in their TV campaign showcasing her multi-hyphenate working life.

She is a trained coach and popular teacher on the online learning platform Skillshare, where are classes have attracted over 80,000 students. She is an experienced speaker and has spoken at TEDx, the Oxford Union, Founders Forum, Instagram HQ, Amazon UK, and Google. She has also appeared regularly on BBC Radio 4 (Woman's Hour, MoneyBox, and Word Of Mouth), BBC Radio 2 (Simon Mayo), and BBC Radio 1 (Life Hacks). 

She is a trusted panel host and has interviewed everyone from actors and authors to scientists and politicians on stages such as the Hay Festival, Cheltenham Literature Festival, Southbank Centre main stage, and festivals all around the UK.
