Pavel Tsatsouline is a Soviet-born fitness instructor and author known for popularizing kettlebells in the United States and for his emphasis on using basic, traditional exercises to achieve strength and fitness. He began his career as a physical training instructor for the Soviet Special Forces and later for the Russian military. In 1998, he immigrated to the United States and began working as a strength and conditioning coach.
