Klaus Martin Schwab is a German engineer, economist, and founder of the World Economic Forum. He has acted as the WEF's chairman since founding the organization in 1971. Schwab was born to Eugen Wilhelm Schwab and Erika Epprecht in Ravensburg. Geoffrey West is a theoretical physicist whose primary interests have been in fundamental questions in physics, especially those concerning elementary particles, their interactions, and cosmological implications. West served as SFI President from July 2005 through July 2009. Erik Brynjolfsson is the Jerry Yang and Akiko Yamazaki Professor and Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI) and Director of the Stanford Digital Economy Lab.
