Tara Brach is an internationally acclaimed teacher of meditation and mindfulness and the author of two best-selling books, Radical Acceptance and True Refuge. A clinical psychologist with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, Tara has been a leader in the field of mindfulness-based therapy and Buddhist psychology since the early 1990s.

Tara was first inspired to delve into meditation and mindfulness while she was a student at Harvard University. After graduating, she traveled to India, where she studied with a spiritual teacher, Ram Dass, and the renowned meditation master Venerable Ajahn Chah. Following her return to the U.S., she continued to study meditation and eventually opened a private practice in the Washington D.C. area.

Tara has been teaching mindfulness and meditation for over 20 years now, offering classes and workshops both in person and online. She has been a leader in the field of meditation and mindfulness-based therapies, developing groundbreaking approaches such as the Interpersonal Mindfulness Program, the Mindful Self-Compassion Program, and the Insight Dialogue Program.

Tara has written two books, Radical Acceptance, and True Refuge, both of which have become bestsellers. In addition to her books, Tara has created a wide range of audio programs, meditation courses, and other materials to help people learn mindfulness and meditation.
