392 booksThe starry sky reminds me to look up more often to spark my creativity. Carl Sagan’s book, “Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space” (1994), makes me think more about space and the surrounding galaxies. Sagan wrote this piece in honor of Voyager’s journey, which took place in 1990.
The passage goes something like "How is it that I can feel liberated by being on a spaceship where I cannot escape its bounds except through death? It is that very boundary, that demarcation between the known and the unknown-the very real possibility of death-that allows us to feel truly alive.
Carl Sagan's most memorable work inspires people just as it inspired me when I first read it. "
