Timothy Harper

Timothy Harper, whose 12 books include License to Steal and Moscow Madness, is an award-winning journalist and author who writes books and articles on many topics. His latest book is The U.S. Constitution, in the Idiot’s Guide series. He is also an editorial and publishing consultant who helps individuals and institutions write and publish books of their own, often as a ghostwriter or book doctor, sometimes for major publishing houses such as Random House or Oxford University Press.

Tim has taught journalism reporting and law at major universities, including in 2007 at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York, where he is a visiting professor and writing coach. He has also taught at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and NYU’s Carter Institute for Journalism and has spoken and led sessions at many professional events for journalists.

He has served as an editorial consultant and writing coach for individual authors and for corporate clients such as Intel, Alcoa, Time Inc., Newsweek, Pfizer, Reuters, British Telecom, Brooklyn Brewery, Brown Publishing, Robert Marston Associates, the Steamboat Foundation and a number of Wall Street institutions.
