Stephen Huggett studied mathematics as an undergraduate at London University, and then went to Oxford University as a research student in the Mathematical Institute, supervised by Roger Penrose. His research interests are in graph theory, twistor theory, and the history of geometry, and he has also had some interesting mathematical consultancy work. Huggett served as the Programme Secretary of the London Mathematical Society from 2001 to 2011 and as its General Secretary from 2012 to 2020. He was also the Secretary of the European Mathematical Society from 2007 to 2014.
