Professor Richardson is an award-winning filmmaker, author, artist, and historian. He's published both fiction and non-fiction and created cover art for books, movies, magazines, and graphic novels. His documentaries are being used as teaching tools at such prestigious universities as Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley, Marquette, and others. 

He has appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered and numerous television shows, including American Pickers, Mysteries at the Museum, CBS This Morning, CBS Sunday Morning, Blood Feuds, America Fact vs Fiction, the Discovery Network’s Blood Feuds, the National Geographic Channel’s Diggers and more. He has also consulted for PBS Newshour, Pawn Stars, and How the States Got Their shapes. 

Bill has been quoted in the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, London Daily Mail, and hundreds of other newspapers. He also produced a 16-episode series for the History Channel, and the National Endowment for the Arts has supported his work.
