Andromeda Romano-Lax is a highly accomplished writer and novelist hailing from the city of Chicago. Despite her roots in the Midwest, she now calls the picturesque Vancouver Island, Canada, her home. Her journey as a writer began as a freelance journalist and travel writer, but it wasn't long before she discovered her true passion for fiction.

Her debut novel, The Spanish Bow, was an instant success, earning widespread critical acclaim and being translated into a staggering 11 different languages. It was also chosen as a New York Times Editors' Choice, a BookSense pick, and even named one of Library Journal's Best Books of the Year.

But Andromeda didn't rest on her laurels after the success of her first novel. Her next three novels, The Detour, Behave, and Plum Rains, was well-received, reflecting her diverse interests in the arts, history, science, and technology, as well as her love of travel and her time spent living abroad. Each of her novels showcases her unique voice and perspective, making her a standout in the literary world.

In addition to her work as a novelist, Andromeda is also an active member of the literary community. She co-founded and continues to blog for 49 Writers, a nonprofit organization that supports and promotes writers. Her commitment to the craft of writing also extends to her work as a teacher, having taught fiction in the University of Alaska Anchorage's low-residency MFA in Creative Writing program. She now works with novelists and memoirists as a freelance book coach, helping authors to realize their full potential and bring their stories to life.

Andromeda currently resides on a small island off the coast of British Columbia with her family, where she enjoys the beauty of nature and the great outdoors. When she's not writing or working with her clients, she can often be found trail running, cycling, and paddle boarding, taking in the stunning scenery and immersing herself in the tranquility of her surroundings.
