Vlad Zamfir

Vlad Zamfir is a digital analyst, Ethereum developer, blockchain architect, and member of the Ethereum Foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Guelph in 2012 and has been working on the analysis and specification of proof-of-stake blockchain architecture since September 2014. 

He is the lead developer of the Casper protocol upgrade, which is a major upgrade to the Ethereum blockchain that is currently in development. He is also working on blockchain efficiency and scaling and is highly interested in governance and privacy solutions.

Vlad has participated in several international blockchain conferences, such as Blockchain Summit 2018, and has been featured in various media outlets, such as Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg. He is also a regular contributor to the Ethereum blog, where he writes about the latest developments and research in the blockchain space.
