Mike Maples Jr. is a Partner at Floodgate, a leading early-stage venture capital firm in Silicon Valley. He has been included in the Forbes Midas List since 2010 and was named one of FORTUNE Magazine’s “8 Rising Stars” in venture capital.

Before becoming a full-time investor, Mike was highly successful as a founder and operating executive. He was part of the team that took Tivoli Systems public in 1995 (IPO TIVS), and IBM later acquired the company. He then went on to become a founder and executive of Motive (IPO MOTV). Motive was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent in 2007.
