Jon Stewart is an American comedian, writer, producer, director, and political commentator. He is best known as the host of The Daily Show, a satirical news program aired on Comedy Central from 1999 to 2015. Stewart began his career as a stand-up comedian before transitioning to television with the MTV show The Jon Stewart Show in the early 1990s.

He then joined The Daily Show in 1999, serving as host and executive producer for more than 16 years. Under Stewart's leadership, the show became one of the most popular and influential programs on television, known for its sharp satire and commentary on current events. Stewart also wrote and directed the films "Rosewater" and "Irresistible."
