Joe Gebbia is a successful American entrepreneur and designer, best known as Airbnb's co-founder and former chief product officer. Gebbia was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Georgia Tech, where he studied design. He has always had a passion for design, and after graduating, he moved to San Francisco, California, in 2006 to pursue a career in design.

Gebbia co-founded Airbnb with Brian Chesky and Nathan Blecharczyk in 2008. Airbnb is now one of the most successful companies in the world and has a valuation of $31 billion. Gebbia and his team created Airbnb to make it easier for people to rent out their homes or apartments to travelers in need of a place to stay. The idea stemmed from Gebbia’s own experience as a student when he struggled to pay rent and resorted to renting out air mattresses in his San Francisco apartment.

Gebbia served as Airbnb’s Chief Product Officer from 2008 to 2017. During his time at Airbnb, Gebbia was responsible for leading the product and design teams and overseeing the user experience. He was also responsible for the development of the Airbnb app and website.

Gebbia is a noted philanthropist, and in 2013 he and his wife, designer and artist Amna Gebbia, founded the Gebbia Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education, design, and entrepreneurship.
