Evan Spiegel is an American businessman and entrepreneur who is best known for being the co-founder and CEO of Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat. Spiegel was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 4, 1990, and raised in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood. He attended Stanford University, where he studied product design and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. In 2011, while at Stanford, he and his friend Bobby Murphy co-founded Snapchat, then called Picaboo.

Spiegel started his career at a young age, working as a product designer for Red Bull while he was still in high school. After graduating from Stanford, he and Murphy launched Snapchat. This photo-sharing app quickly gained popularity among teens and young adults and was seen as a major disruptor in the world of social media.

In 2013, Spiegel and Murphy rebranded Snapchat as SnapChat and spun off the company, Snap Inc., to focus on developing and marketing the app. Under Spiegel's leadership, Snap Inc. went public in 2017, and since then, Spiegel has become one of the youngest self-made billionaires in the world. Spiegel has been recognized for his business acumen, has been named Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2017, and was named to Fortune's 40 Under 40 list in 2016.

Spiegel is also known for his philanthropic efforts. He has donated to a variety of causes, including Stanford's Center for Social Innovation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. He also serves as a board member of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

In addition to his business success, Spiegel has also become a leader in the technology industry. He serves on the board of directors for IBM and is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on the Future of Technology. He has also spoken at a variety of events, such as the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, and the Milken Institute Global Conference.

Spiegel is also an advocate for the causes he believes in. He has spoken out against the use of encryption in communications and has also come out in support of net neutrality and data privacy. He has also taken a public stance against the use of "deep fakes" in political campaigns.

In his personal life, Spiegel is married to the Australian model Miranda Kerr, and they have two sons. Spiegel and Kerr are also active philanthropists and are involved with a variety of charities, including the California Community Foundation, the Australian Children's Foundation, and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
