Chelsea Handler is an American comedian, actress, writer, television host, producer, and activist. She is best known for her television talk show Chelsea Lately, which aired on E! from 2007 to 2014, and her Netflix documentary series Chelsea Does. Handler has also written five books that have made the New York Times Best Seller list.

Born in Livingston, New Jersey, Handler began her career as a stand-up comedian in the late 1990s. She began her television career as a regular on the Oxygen network series Girls Behaving Badly. In 2006, Handler began hosting the E! television talk shows Chelsea Lately, which ran until 2014 and was the highest-rated series on the network. Handler commented on pop culture and current events on the show and interviewed celebrities.

Handler has also starred in several films and television shows, including This Means War (2012), Blended (2014), and After Lately (2011). In 2016, Handler created, produced, and hosted the four-part documentary series Chelsea Does on Netflix, which explored topics such as marriage, Silicon Valley, racism, and drugs. Handler also advocates for many causes, including animal rights and LGBT rights. In 2019, she joined the Our Vote Our Voice campaign to encourage young people to vote in the 2020 presidential election. She has been featured in numerous magazines, including Playboy, Esquire, and GQ. Her memoir Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea was adapted into a sitcom that aired on NBC in 2012.

In 2020, she released her sixth book, Life Is the Shits: And Other Observations, which is a collection of humorous essays about her life.
