Brian Chesky is an American businessman and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, a global online marketplace and hospitality service.

Chesky co-founded Airbnb in 2008 with Joe Gebbia and Nathan Blecharczyk. After struggling to pay their rent in San Francisco, they came up with renting out airbeds in their apartment to attendees of a design conference who couldn't find a hotel room. They then expanded the concept to allow people to rent their homes as travelers' accommodations.

Since then, Airbnb has grown into a global company with over 5 million listings in over 220 countries. The company has faced regulatory challenges and criticism but has become one of the most successful and influential companies in the sharing economy.

Chesky has been widely recognized as a leader in the technology industry, and he has been named to Forbes' list of the World's Billionaires and Time's list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.

In addition to his work at Airbnb, Chesky is also an active philanthropist and has pledged to give away half of his wealth through The Giving Pledge.

He's been considered a visionary for his role in revolutionizing the way people travel and the way properties are utilized, and he has been an inspiration for many new businesses in the sharing economy. His leadership in Airbnb has helped change how people view travel and accommodation and has provided new opportunities for people to earn money by renting out their homes.
