Bret Samuel Weinstein is an American biologist and evolutionary theorist who came to national attention during the 2017 Evergreen State College protests. He is considered a member of the informal group of pundits known as the Intellectual Dark Web. Bret is the brother of Eric Weinstein.

Bret Weinstein is a former biology professor at Evergreen State College, a public liberal arts college in Olympia, Washington. He received national attention in 2017 for his opposition to a campus event called "Day of Absence," in which white students and staff were asked to leave campus for a day to recognize their privilege. Weinstein's opposition to the event led to protests and controversy on campus, and ultimately, he resigned from his position. After that, Weinstein had a Career in podcasting and public speaking on issues related to free speech, political correctness, and social justice.
