Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck is an American actor, filmmaker, and philanthropist who rose to fame for his role as the comic book superhero Batman in the DC Extended Universe. Born in Berkeley, California, in 1972, Ben Affleck began his acting career at the age of 8 when he starred in his first feature film, The Dark End of the Street. After a few years of small roles in TV and film, he gained recognition in 1995 after playing a supporting role in the crime drama Mallrats.

In 1997, he won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting, which he co-wrote with Matt Damon. That same year, Affleck starred in the hit romantic comedy Chasing Amy. In the early 2000s, he starred in a number of action films, including Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and The Sum of All Fears. In 2003, he starred in the historical drama, Paycheck.

In 2006, Affleck starred in the crime thriller Hollywoodland, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. In 2007, he appeared in the commercially successful comic book adaptation of Dare Devil. In 2008, Affleck starred in the political drama State of Play. In 2010, he starred in the critically acclaimed drama, The Town. 

In 2013, Affleck reprised his role as Batman in the highly successful superhero film Man of Steel. In 2016, Affleck starred in the critically acclaimed crime drama, The Accountant. In 2017, he starred in the action thriller Justice League. In 2018, Affleck starred in the action-thriller Triple Frontier. 

In addition to his acting career, Affleck has also directed and produced a number of feature films, including Gone Baby Gone, The Town, Argo, and Live by Night. He has also been involved in a number of philanthropic causes, including the Eastern Congo Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. 

Affleck has been married twice and has three children. He is considered one of the most successful actors of his generation, having appeared in a number of highly successful films. He is also an accomplished director, producer, and philanthropist.

In 2019, Affleck starred in the critically acclaimed film, The Way Back, which earned him another Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. Affleck continues to act in films, and he recently made his directorial debut with the crime drama, The Last Thing He Wanted. He is currently in production for the upcoming film, The Tender Bar. 

Affleck has also been involved in a number of charitable causes, including the Eastern Congo Initiative and the A-T Children’s Project, which is dedicated to helping children with the rare genetic disorder ataxia-telangiectasia. He has also been a vocal advocate for gun control and criminal justice reform.
