Albert Wenger is an American venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and author. He is a partner at Union Square Ventures, a venture capital firm he co-founded, and is the author of World After Capital. He is well known for his investment in early-stage technology companies. He has formed some of the world’s most successful startups, including Twitter, Dropbox, Etsy, and Zynga.

Wenger graduated from Harvard University and held a Ph.D. in Information Technology from MIT. After his studies, he worked as an engineer and researcher at IBM. He then went on to become the Chief Technology Officer of Delphi, an e-commerce company. After Delphi was acquired by Barnes & Noble, Wenger joined Union Square Ventures in 2005.

As a venture capitalist, Wenger has backed some of the most iconic technology companies of the decade. He was an early investor in Twitter, backing the company when it was just a two-person team. He was also one of the first investors in Dropbox, Etsy, and Zynga.
